Layne Haley Whitehouse is a self employed badass. Starting in photography as a hobby until it became her full time career. Over the years, while the camera stays important, Layne's career path has branched. She is a fun loving, multi passionate gal. This gives her an opportunity to engage with everyone and promote events in Kansas City while still being able to stay home with her two most important (and demanding) clients yet- her twin girls.
She has worked with many high profile companies and organizations doing everything from photography, marketing, event planning to race directing. Layne is a true jack of all trades. Bringing the same level of enthusiasm, passion and skill to each and every project she has a hand in. If you’re ready to throw a successful event, capture those ever precious moments in your life or hit your own personal goals- you need to add Layne to your team.
I’m a hub of adventure.
In March of 2009 I made the jump to being self employed. What started out as a photography hobby became my full time career. Over the years, while the camera stays important, my career path has branched. The best way I can say it is “If I can’t do it for you, I know someone who can!”. I’ve dabbled in baking, became (and maintain) a personal training certification, and am constantly looking for the next thing to learn.
In 2011 I joined the Kansas City Fashion Week committee and spend a lot of time in the events realm. From there, I have had the opportunity to plan many events that range from intimate house parties, multi distance road races, and black tie gala events.
The fall of 2022 Kansas City Cotton Candy Co was established between me and a couple of good friends. We love to spin sugar at events on the weekend. The nostalgia for parents and the rush of fun for the kids always makes it worth it!
In the fall of 2023 I opened MidCoast Threads - a commercial screen printing and embroidery company.
Life can be a crazy ride. I’m here for it!
